About us
Audiologists in Victoria BC
At West Coast Hearing, we believe hearing care is more than devices and tests. Hearing is how people connect, belong, and stay present in the lives they love. When hearing fades, conversations grow harder, moments feel more distant, and daily life can become quietly overwhelming. Our purpose is to bring those connections back with care that blends scientific precision and genuine human understanding.

Audiologists Tiffany Nguyen and Christine Stangeland
We founded West Coast Hearing after personal experiences shaped our path to audiology.
Christine wears hearing aids herself and understands the uncertainty, frustration, and relief that comes with hearing clearly again.
Tiffany grew up in a large family where her grandfather’s hearing loss often left him sitting on the edges of conversations. Those moments left a mark, inspiring her to build a career helping others feel included and supported.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is clear: the science of the fit and the art of the relationship. Every patient receives evidence-based care, including real ear measurements, speech-in-noise testing, and verification and validation on every fitting. We also provide a full range of audiology services that extend beyond hearing aids, including tinnitus and sound therapy, cochlear implant referrals, and bone conduction devices. By offering this broader scope, we ensure patients receive care that reflects the full expertise of audiology, not just one part of it.

Our Approach to Care
We take pride in offering a holistic approach. Hearing care does not stop at fitting a device. It includes protecting hearing for the future, mentoring patients as they explore new technologies, and offering education that empowers confident decisions. Patients know they are cared for by experts who listen, explain, and invite them into the process at their own pace. Transparency is central to our practice. Pricing is clear, options are explained in plain language, and trust is built conversation by conversation.

Your Experience With Us
Our clinic environment reflects our approach to care. We wanted our office to feel bright, happy, and calm — a place where you feel welcome, safe, and cared for. From the moment you walk in, you can take a breath and know that you will not be rushed. Every appointment is designed to give you time, attention, and support, so you leave feeling understood and confident about your next step.
Our Community
Community is at the heart of West Coast Hearing. We are developing group programs and support circles, including tinnitus groups and family education sessions. Shared experiences reduce isolation and help people adjust more easily to change. We see our clinic not only as a center for clinical excellence but also as a gathering place where people feel less alone in their journey.
