Our audiologists are trained in tinnitus assessment and in a variety of tinnitus management techniques. Our clinical counsellor specializes in cognitive behavioural therapy, allowing us to provide an interdisciplinary approach to better serve our patients.

Appointment Duration: 90 minutes

What is Tinnitus?

Tinnitus is a symptom that can be linked to various health conditions, including hearing loss and noise exposure. It is commonly described as a ringing, buzzing, or humming sound in one or both ears.

A Tinnitus Assessment is Recommended if you:

  • Have persistent or bothersome tinnitus

  • Have tinnitus in only one ear

  • Have tinnitus that sounds like a whooshing or is synchronous with your pulse

  • A physician recommended you have a tinnitus assessment

A tinnitus assessment includes:

  • A detailed review of your hearing health history, tinnitus history, and any related concerns

  • Tone and speech testing to assess your hearing abilities

  • Tinnitus characterization measurements

  • A detailed review of the results

  • A personalized recommendation for management based on your assessment and needs

Personalized Tinnitus Management

Our audiologists will provide an specialized tinnitus management plan for you following your tinnitus assessment, based on your individual needs.

Our clinic specializes in a range of tinnitus management solutions, including:

  • Sound therapy

  • Psychoeducation

  • Tinnitus activities treatment (TAT)

  • Cognitive behavioural therapy (provided by a clinical counsellor)

  • Support groups

Living with tinnitus can be challenging, but you don't have to manage it alone.

Our Tinnitus Support Group offers a welcoming community where you can share experiences, learn effective coping strategies, and connect with others who truly understand what you’re going through.

 

Led by our experienced audiologists, each session provides practical tools and encouragement to help you manage tinnitus with confidence, so you can reconnect with your life and the things that matter most.
