You've been diagnosed with hearing loss, let's chat options!
Private Pay
Some private insurance (ex. Pacific Blue Cross, CanadaLife, GreenShield) offer coverage for both 'Audiology Services' and/or hearing aids. Often these plans require a prescription, purchase agreement, audiogram and fitting appointment from a Registered Audiologist. We recommend you check the requirements of your insurance so we can provide all necessary information at your hearing aid fitting.
Note: Direct billing for Audiology and hearing aids is not available. We will provide an invoice and all necessary documents for you to submit for reimbursement. Please confirm your coverage with your insurance plan, this can be done online or over the phone with your provider.
Hearing aids are a medical device, this means there are no taxes on your hearing aid purchase and they are eligible to be claimed under the 'medical expense' portion on your income tax.
We offer both bundled and unbundled hearing aids. The unbundled option separates the cost for the hearing aids from the related products/services. You pay for the hearing aids up front and then pay for additional products/services as needed.
Both options include:
Hearing aid selection
Fitting appointment (instruction on care and use, program hearing aids to your prescription)
Bluetooth Pairing
90-day trial period
Manufacturer warranty
End of warranty check with manufacturer
Unlimited support during 90-day trial period
Bundled

These services are supplied for the lifetime of the hearing aid.
Unlimited adjustments and hearing aid checks with your Audiologist
Unlimited hearing aid cleaning
Hearing aid service
Firmware updates
Consumables - such as domes and wax guards
Unbundled
Factors to consider:
Budget - will a lower entry price be the difference between getting hearing aids or not?
Insurance - can you claim 'Audiology Services' on your extended benefits plan or just hearing aids?
Experience - are you an experienced hearing aid user, typically requiring minimal support?
Are you planning on moving in the next 5 years?
Do you spend a significant amount of time travelling outside of Victoria?
Third Party
WorkSafe BC, Workers Compensation Board (WCB), Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), First Nations Health Authority (FNHA), Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction (PWD).
Other Options
If you don't have private insurance or third party coverage, we are happy to consult with you to explore all funding opportunities. Some examples include WorkBC Assistive Technology, and Island Deaf and Hard of Hearing (IDHH) Sound of Change Initiative.
